So each week, the goal of the blog is to share at least 3 things relating to life, the cookbook and kitchen tips. Now that the book launch is behind me, ready to get back at it and share recipes.
So the recipe for today is Brussels Sprout Salad. I know the thought of a Brussels Sprout makes most people’s noses turn upside down!
Give this recipe a try and it is sure to become a family favorite. Depending on the tartness of your apples, you can always adjust the sweetness by adding in a little more maple syrup. I often substitute agave nectar if I don’t have maple syrup on hand. I also play around with the salad a bit by cutting the apples into matchsticks to blend in with the grated Brussels Sprouts and then my kids don’t know exactly what they are getting – it just looks like apples to them!
Give it a try and let me know what you think! The longer it marinates, the better it gets!
