Community Matters

community

By definition, com·mu·ni·ty is:    a unified body of individuals; people with common interests living in a particular area; an interacting population of various kinds of individuals in a common location; a group of people with a common characteristic or interest living together within a larger society.

I wholeheartedly love the concept of community and wanted to share two upcoming local events that folks in our community are putting on this summer.

What a great way to start and end the summer.

summer bash ranch at flying horse

Summer Bash at Flying Horse Ranch –

Located just off Hwy. 83 and Palmer Divide Ave., Flying Horse Ranch wants to kick off Summer with you and your family!  Join them for – music, pony rides, concessions, laser tag, bounce houses, mechanical bull riding, a bow hunting course, dummy steer roping, carnival games, and food! Let’s help them kick off this annual event to bring our community together, support local schools, and kick off Summer! Update:  this event has had to be rescheduled to 2018.  Stay Tuned.

This is a FREE campus-wide event celebrating our entire DCC Community. Come connect with staff, parents and students to kick off the 2017-18 school year with Orange Leaf frozen yogurt, music and some outdoor fun (bouncing houses, face painting, volleyball & more)! Wear school colors or spirit wear and show your “Thunder” pride!

Wishing you all a wonderful summer!

Much Love,
